ANNA SCHACHNER A former music journalist and features writer, Anna Schachner earned an M.A. in English Literature from Georgia State University and an MFA in Fiction from Bowling Green State University. She has taught Creative Writing at Bowling Green State University, The Art Institute of Atlanta and Georgia Perimeter College, where for many years she was Fiction/Associate Editor of The Chattahoochee Review. A fiction writer with an avid interest in creative nonfiction, her work has appeared in many journals and magazines, including Puerto del Sol, The Sun, and Kalliope. Her story "Remember Me As Kind" won the 2006 Frank O'Connor Award in Short Fiction from descant and three other stories have been nominated for Pushcart prizes. While her novel You and I and Someone Else seeks publication, she is at work on another novel, a literary murder mystery set in Mexico, and a short story collection.
