About the Program | Faculty | Students | Reading Series | Calendar | Writers' Resources Course Application | Course Atlas | Contests Third Annual Agnes Nixon and Kiki McCabe Prize for Screenwriting DEADLINE: MARCH 2010 (exact date TBA) The Agnes Nixon and Kiki McCabe Prize for Screenwriting is a $1,000 award to an undergraduate student who shows promise in screenwriting. The Prize was donated by Cathy McCabe to honor her late mother, Kiki McCabe, and her aunt, Agnes Nixon, both Emmy Award-winning writers for daytime television. Submission guidelines: Open to any Emory College undergraduate. Only one screenplay may be submitted. No page limit. The screenplay must be typed and in proper screenplay format. All pages must be numbered. Screenplays may be original material or adaptations. A synopsis of the screenplay must be included. No double-sided submissions. Deadline: TBA Entry forms and guidelines for The Agnes Nixon and Kiki McCabe Prize for Screenwriting and all other Spring 2010 Creative Writing contests will be available in Spring 2010 at the Program office, N209 Callaway, or on online at: http://www.creativewriting.emory.edu/students/submission.html The winner of the Agnes Nixon and Kiki McCabe Prize for Screenwriting will be announced at Awards Night, 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Cannon Chapel. Fiction writer Antonya Nelson will present the Spring 2010 writing contest awards and give a reading. A reception and signing in Brooks Commons will follow.
